Joseph William Walters was born July 25, 1853 in South Wales. He came to Utah with his parents when he was just a child. He married Isabella Jane Carlisle on Jan. 3, 1876 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they had 11 children. He served a 12 year mission and was a temple worker for over 10 years. When he died, he was survived by 5 sons and 4 daughters.
