Jun 9th - 500 Mormons leave Iowa City, Iowa and head west for Salt Lake City, Utah carrying all their possessions in two-wheeled handcarts.
When Susan Melvina Bingham was born on November 23, 1856, in Ogden, Utah, her father, Erastus, was 34 and her mother, Susan, was 17. She married Winslow Farr on May 5, 1873, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had 11 children in 21 years. She died on November 6, 1903, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 46, and was buried in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico.
